This month in Astronomy: November 2023

Big news folks - the observatory is on order, and the groundworks have begun!

So we have moved to Assynt, it’s near Iceland, and I don’t mean the store! In fact Iceland is closer than Lands End, at 900 and 907km respectively (measured as great circle distances). Norway is only 620km away! Here we are blessed with Bortle 1 skies, so the darkest you can get without being in the middle of an ocean or in space.
